National Cancer Survivors Day® is June 1st

National Cancer Survivors Day® is June 1st

The 27th annual National Cancer Survivors Day® (NCSD) will be celebrated globally by cancer survivors on June 1st. While struggling through cancer can be a terrifying experience, this day has been created as a chance to celebrate those that have beaten it.

According to the NCSD, those that are currently being treated for cancer or that have been cleared of cancer are considered cancer survivors and are welcome to take part in the celebration.

Survivors are encouraged to take a minute to thank those that supported them during their treatment, including their physicians, family, and friends.

The Law office of Brown | Kiely, LLP would like to take this opportunity to join in the celebration and offer congratulations to those that have beaten such a treacherous disease.

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that can occur if you inhale asbestos. Asbestos particles attack the lining of your organs, including the heart, lungs, stomach cavity, and testicles. These particles break down the cells of those linings and cause cancerous tumors to form.

Through 1970, many companies were exposing their employees to asbestos even though they may have been aware that it could have negative side effects. Because of this, you have a right to file a lawsuit.

If you or a loved one are suffering from mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure, please contact the Law Office of Brown | Kiely, LLP today.
